About Steamboat

Steamboat Springs was originally a summer resort before it became known as Ski Town, USA® and renowned for its world class skiing facilities. Travelers in the early 1900s visited Steamboat Springs in the summer months for the natural hot springs and vast hunting and fishing opportunities. Today, outdoor activities span the spectrum, with three championship golf courses, an indoor-outdoor tennis center, biking, hiking, kayaking, fly fishing and horseback riding right in town to snow.

Mission

The Steamboat Springs Film Committee is a volunteer, non-profit organization whose primary goal is to attract and facilitate media production in Northwest Colorado. The Steamboat Springs Film Committee acts as a resource and liaison between media producers and the communities it serves.

Additionally, the Steamboat Springs Film Committee serves as a resource to enhance economic, cultural and educational opportunities in Routt, Moffat, Garfield and Rio Blanco Counties.
