Steamboat Marathon

Join us in 2026 for the 45th annual running of the Steamboat Marathon, Half Marathon and 10k. Run alongside the roaring Elk River through the emerald green pastures on Country Road 129 with the snow-capped Rocky Mountains of Colorado all around and find out why the Steamboat Marathon, a certified Boston Qualifier race, was ranked as one of the “Top 10 Destination Marathons in North America.”

The Steamboat Marathon invites the public to a public hearing with the Board of County Commissioners on Tuesday, March 31 at 10:25 AM at the historic courthouse located at 522 Lincoln Ave. The hearing will convene in the BCC Hearing Room on the third floor. This meeting aims to discuss the Steamboat Marathon course, updated detour on RCR 129, ensuring the safety and convenience of all participants and residents involved.
