Howelsen Hill

But there’s more! Howelsen Hill is Colorado’s oldest continuously operated ski area, since 1915 and is a local favorite. Famous for its Olympic history and heritage, Howelsen Hill is conveniently located in downtown Steamboat Springs. Again this season, Howelsen Hill offers free skiing every Sunday starting December 5 - April 3. Click here to learn more. 

Backcountry Skiing

Steamboat Powdercats has been offering snowcat and human-powered backcountry skiing and snowboarding tours since 1983. They promise to take you to places of powder-filled dreams on Buffalo Pass.
