Colorado Workforce Center

The Colorado Workforce Center can help with the employment needs of both job seekers and employers. They offer guidance and training; they also administer grants to those in need to obtain certifications for approved work-related purposes. Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Colorado

The Boys & Girls Club is a positive youth development program serving youth ages 6-18 during out-of-school time. Child Care Network

Child Care Network provides services and programs to help families and the community with their childcare needs. This includes childcare referrals for families in addition to coaching and technical assistance for licensed providers and local businesses. Learn More

City of Steamboat Springs

A wide selection of school year programs are offered for children in Kindergarten through 5th grades. Programs are licensed through the State of Colorado and are available for registration online or at the Parks & Recreation Office. Learn More

CSU Routt County Extension

The CSU Routt County Extension Office offers the 4-H program. 4-H is a youth development program for kids ages 8 to 18 that empowers youth to reach their full potential, working, and learning in partnership with caring adults. Routt County 4-H is an affordable program utilized by over 300 youth in the county. Learn More

Discovery Learning Center

Discovery Learning Center is a nationally accredited early childhood care and education preschool, beginning at 3 years of age through Pre Kindergarten. Their goal is to help each child have more positive feelings, increased confidence, self-control, positive social relationships, and explore new experiences, with the result of growing confident, competent, caring children. The FPRC helps dads meet the expectations placed on him by his family, employer and community. This is achieved through evidence-based parenting classes, one on one support, and dad "networking" events. Learn More

Holy Name Preschool

Holy Name Preschool offers a Catholic Christian alternative in early childhood education and care. They are founded on a deep respect for each child. It is their philosophy that childhood should be a time of fun, exploration, and discovery within a warm, nurturing, secure environment. Their purpose is to provide an atmosphere that encourages social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and intellectual growth and development of the young children enrolled. Newborn Network provides programming and resources to support families prenatally and through the first 3 years of their child’s life.  The two main goals of Newborn Network’s programs are to enhance parent-to-parent networking and to assist parents in advancing their child's development through a variety of parent education opportunities. North Routt Community Charter School Early Childhood Center

Formerly North Routt Preschool, they have merged with NRCCS to have one continuous Expeditionary Learning model of education serving North Routt and Steamboat. They offer a full-day program from 7:30-5:00, year-round, to children 12 months old to 5 years old with a summer camp for older children also. They focus on play-based, place-based thematic learning using the wonderful North Routt environment as a secondary classroom. Learn More

Partners provides mentoring programs for Routt County youth ages 7-17 because having a trusted adult in the life of a child is the number one preventative factor for future high-risk behavior. They work closely with schools, counselors, and other youth-serving organizations. Learn More

Steamboat Reading provides a community of support for struggling readers and their families with one-on-one tutoring, learning evaluations, advocacy, and parent education. Learn More

Young Tracks Preschool & Childcare Center

Young Tracks provides quality care and education that strengthens children, families, and the community with a web of supportive staff and services for Infants as young as 2 months through Preschool. Learn More


Financial Assistance 

Colorado Child Care Assistance Program

The Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP) provides child care assistance to families who are working, searching for employment or are in training, and families who are enrolled in the Colorado Works program and need child care services to support their efforts toward self-sufficiency. First Impressions Tuition Assistance

First Impressions offers assistance to help offset the cost of tuition. Eligible children must be enrolled or eligible for enrollment in a participating, licensed, childcare center, family childcare home or preschool program in Routt County. Please note you must apply for CCAP first before applying for this program. Learn More

Grand Futures Prevention Coalition 

Grand Futures provides substance abuse prevention services for youth and young adults in our community. They provide opportunities for youth through Teen Council and Communities That Care (CTC), their youth engagement is focused on education, skill-building, and youth-led projects and initiatives. Grand Futures offer prevention education for trusted adults on Alcohol, Tobacco, Marijuana, and other drugs (ATMODs), and Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid training. They work community-wide to change social norms and policies to help prevent substance abuse in our youth, through community engagement, community partnerships, and mass media campaigns. Learn More

Mind Spring Health

Mind Springs Health is a community mental health center providing outpatient mental health and substance abuse outpatient treatment. They take all payers including Medicaid and offer a sliding fee scale. Learn More

Northwest Colorado Health

Northwest Colorado Health supports community wellness through a range of health programs and services helping residents of all ages, income levels, and cultures live as healthy as possible through our Community Health Centers, Prevention Services, Home Health & Hospice, and Assisted Living. They offer affordable primary care, behavioral health, and dental care at our Community Health Centers, and health insurance assistance for Health First Colorado (CO Medicaid) and Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+). Programs such as Women, Infants & Children (WIC), Nurse-Family Partnership, SafeCare, and Youth Resiliency offer free support to help ensure pregnant women, mothers, children, and families have the best chance at healthy, safe, and successful futures. Integrated Community

Integrated Community is a health and human service agency serving as an advocate and cultural liaison for immigrant children and families in Northwest Colorado. They provide Limited English Speakers with the knowledge, resources, and connections necessary to become active contributors to the Yampa Valley area and beyond. They provide a variety of services to facilitate successful integration for immigrants including English tutoring & school readiness, interpretation and translation including their 24/7 interpreting line, and resource and referral/immigration. NWCCI supports people with disabilities and seniors, connecting them with providers of housing, transportation, employment, assistive technology, access to benefits, and independent living services.
